This is more about me than us. The us part and I parted company a few years back.
My background in woodworking and home building spans back to the early sixties where I began
in high school, helping my father (an electrician) and all my uncles (plumbers, carpenters, etc. build each other homes).
After my service in the USAF, I remodeled homes and built furniture as a hobby while I worked in electronics.
In the mid-seventies, I went full-time contractor on the east coast, having all licences in Electric, plumbing, and general as well as roofing, stone mason, etc.
During my last three years of high school, I attended night courses at a local college and got my degree in Architectural Design a week before I went through high school graduation ceremonies.
My primary work drifted into the custom wood shop, where I produced original custom-designed furniture along with antique reproductions and kitchen and bath cupboards.
Later on, in the late eighties, I moved to the Pacific Northwest where I designed and built custom homes and also produced many custom wood creations - a few of which can be seen on this site in the PORTFOLIO section.
I moved to Kauai, too cold in the northwest for me, in the latter part of 2000
Here I have built tree-houses, room additions, remodels and a new custom home, all of which can be seen in the PORTFOLIO section.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
